My mind has been in work mode all day long, so it’s a bit of a chore trying to sort out all my thoughts into one neatly compiled blog entry. So I’ll just cut them up into little trivial sections, and hope that at least one thought strikes a chord with someone else.

• I just got the last of my W2 tax forms today. 4 for last year. I can’t wait to start on them though, because I’d rather get them out of the way now instead of stressing at the last minute. In fact, I already know what I’m going to purchase with my tax refund . Yeah, you guessed it: more photography equipment.

• I love making music playlists. My musical moods change so often, I need different playlists to cater to my needs. On that note, however, I would like to emphasize just how much iTunes blows. Winamp is so much more awesome, a heck of  a lot more lightweight, and far more customizeable. I just found out customizable can be spelled with either the “e” or without it. Strange. However, in iTunes’ defense, I find their Genius Playlist feature extremely intelligent. Maybe a little too smart.

• How unpatriotic of me: I haven’t watched or seen any video or photo footage from the Inauguration on Tuesday, the only exception being the clip floating around Youtube of Aretha Franklin telling the nation to shut up. Strange. I always thought she was a classy lady.

• I hope it doesn’t rain on Saturday. Jason and Annie’s engagement session is planned for that day. I want it to be beautiful for them.

• Death Cab for Cutie’s “Transatlanticism” album came out 6 years ago, and it is still mind-blowingly awesome today. I’ll never get tired of that cd.

• I miss Disney animated movies with songs. Must be the kid in me.
