About
Hi there, you’ve found my blog page. But you may find yourself wondering, “just who the heck is this Tim Monzon anyways?”. Well, if that question is lingering on in your mind, then read on!

My regular work wear
My name is Tim Monzon. At this point in time in my life I’m working on becoming a professional wedding and studio photographer. Like many photographers, I’m doing this one step at a time, slowly building up business and depending on network contacts to help develop my skills. It’s been a steep climb so far, but I’m enjoying every second of creating this business, all the while helping to further others as well.
When not chasing photographic pursuits, you can usually find me working at a couple of restaurants. Since 2005, I’ve been working at In N Out Burger in the City of Industry. It seems like a simple menial job, but in all honesty, I love it. Knowing that I work for a wonderful company that for 60 years has been solidifying its reputation as the best fast food burger in America is an awesome feeling. If you live anywhere along the west coast, then you definitely know about us. If you’re from the eastern seaboard, then we’ll forgive you for not having heard of us, considering we’re only in California, Arizona, and Nevada (and now Utah too!). But for those that have visited us will quickly tell you we’re the best
.
Also, it helps keep that steady amount of income coming in. Photography, while fun, can be inconsistent as a career at times. So I’ve got my backups.
You can also find me at Johnny Rockets, working as a server. I’ve actually been a server there since 2004, but left to pursue my business. I went back as a favor to my old bosses, but I still love it. I find an odd pleasure out of socializing with guests while I work. As long as I’m not too overbearing, of course.

I sometimes forget what goes on first.
In my spare time, I love playing video games. I was raised on a Nintendo, and have been gaming ever since. When it comes to friendly multiplayer, the Wii is awesome. It brings people together. Sure, it doesn’t have the greatest collection of hardcore games, but when it comes to party situations, this console shines. The 360’s got some great games too, but I have yet to buy a Live account to play with other people. But then again, I like playing games where I can just focus on myself. I suppose that’s why RPG’s are my favorite genre of game. I love games, but when there’s no storyline, there’s no reason for me to play. I need a good story to just suck me in. I’ll admit it, I play World Of Warcraft. Yes, I am among the 11 million players on today. But hey, if someone puts out a great game, I’m willing to pay for it monthly as long as the quality and excellence of the game continue to show. And it has. Feel free to call me a nerd, I’m perfectly fine with it
.
As the World Wide Web increases its presence with each passing year, I’ve become dedicated to learning as much as I can about it. I love dabbling in web development and web design, although I admit I’ve got lots to learn. Although I love the layout of this blog, I hope to someday be able to create my own custom layout. As I blog, I’m learning to create a website for my photography as well. Although I could easily pay someone else a couple hundred bucks to make one for me that will probably be really neat and functional, I want to be able to take pride in knowing that I made one myself with my own hands. It might look as pretty, but hey, its all a learning process.
I’ve also got a few projects coming up for the upcoming year of 2009. Namely the “Faces Of Diamond Bar” website. There’s not a lot of info I can share yet, but don’t worry, you’ll be seeing a lot more info as the days progress.
Lastly, I realize that on my computer, although I’ve got hundreds upon hundreds of photos, I have absolutely none of myself at work taking photos. That’s obviously someone elses job to do, but if you’ve got one, I’d like to steal it from you. These two photos of me are quite ridiculous no?
